USC Marshall MBA/Challenge for Charity
Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday morning! The 5k was a resounding success thanks to you. Besides raising a solid amount of money for C4C, we also had the opportunity to get to know our Special Olympic friends.

We’re excited to see you tomorrow! Here are a few more details about what’s happening.
Registration: 8:30am (**Volunteers, please come early so we can pair you with your Special Olympic buddy) Race Starts: 9:00am
Directions to the 5k: From the 405, take the 105 West until it ends (at Vista del Mar). Drive directly into Dockweiler State Beach and make a right towards Tower 54. Drive just barely past Tower 54 and park in Lot 2. If you’re looking at the beach, you should be parking just to the right of the community area and Tower 54. (see map below)
Parking: $1 per car, all day
Post 5k celebration: Sharkeez Manhattan Beach (3801 Highland Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266)
Directions: drive south on Vista del Mar for approximately 2 miles (Vista del Mar becomes Highland); Sharkeez will be on your right just before Rosecrans

Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2008 Pier to Pier Charity 5K Run/Walk. We had over 100 participants who helped make the event a success!
The Top Male Finisher was Brendan McKee, with a time of 20:10.
The Top Female Finisher was Rebecca Harris, with a time of 25:05.

We’re pleased to announce that Special Olympic Athletes will be joining us on race day. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet and interact with some of those individuals directly affected by your support.
It’s time to register and take part in the 2008 Pier to Pier 5K Charity Fun Run/Walk.
Remember, all proceeds and donations go to C4C’s charities including Special Olympics and LA Unified School District.
Last March, over 120 runners participated in the very fun and successful Pier to Pier Race.
The event was documented by photographer and 2007 Marshall MBA Alum Eric Sullano.
